Wicker Park Choral Singers

Building community through choral music

Wicker Park Choral Singers is a Chicago-based all-volunteer choir dedicated to building community through choral music.

We believe that choral music is pretty great. The benefits are bountiful for both singer and listener. It brings people together, fosters collaboration, uplifts the spirit, and clears the mind. It can be a creative outlet, a cathartic experience, and a way to express and understand ourselves as human beings. We believe the world would be a better place with more choral music. This is why WPCS exists.

Wicker Park Choral Singers (WPCS) is dedicated to increasing access to and enhancing awareness of the canon of world choral music. Through free concerts, patron education initiatives, and the commissioning of new work from early-career composers, WPCS educates and entertains a wide range of audiences regardless of age, race, or socioeconomic status.

It is our goal to provide a life enriching experience for our members and concertgoers through passionate rehearsal and exceptional performance. By bringing together diverse audiences to both enjoy and learn about choral music, we seek to build community and inspire others to explore their musical interests further both on and off the stage.
